I know these photos are like 2 weeks late, but they're here now. These are the photos from Kellen's birthday.
When Kellen first came down stairs all he wanted to do was play with his balloons, for about 15 minutes that's all he wanted to do. But I guess that's why I got them, because he loves them. He was really excited to see all these balloons for him to play with.
We finally got him interested in his presents, and he did a great job of ripping them open, a lot better then his first birthday and even better then Christmas. He still needed help though.
And by mistake, I gave him the wrong present first, and all he wanted to do was play with the cars he got. Kellen loves cars right now, and wants to play with them all day long, inside and outside. It took us anther 15 minutes to get him interested in another present.
Kellen also got this alphabet magnet set, I am sure you all know what it is. Kellen has been wanting to play with the Magnets on the fridge for a while so he really like this one also. It took him a while to figure it out, but now he goes over to it and press the button that sings the alphabet song and he starts dancing. Dancing is new for him, he's never been a dancer, but loves it now.
Other presences that Kellen got, but we forgot to take pictures of were, Legos from Grandpa, and Grandma Potter, Bean Bags that I made for him, 3 new Dr. Seuss Books, and a Sponge Bob DVD. So yeah he was spoiled, but I thought it would be ok, It's not like he has a ton of toys.
I didn't make a cake for Kellen this year, because I really wanted to get him one of these Cup Cakes. There is a little store here that sells just cup cakes. Kellen chose the one at the bottom left corner, Lemon pie. Preston and I shared a Lemon blueberry. I am telling you these cup cakes are amazing.
Kellen did a much better job of not getting it all over the place. I felt kid of bad for letting him eat the whole thing (in 3 minutes) because I am sure he had a tummy ace. All in all it was such a wonderful day, and I can't believe that my little boy is 2. I love him so much, and I am the luckiest mommy in the world.

Love the pictures!!! He is so grown up all ready! Emma is obsessed with Elmo so I'm going to attempt decorating a cake again (that bat cake we did in Junction really started my love for cake decorating... I can't get enough but I've limited myself to only doing birthdays... I would just decorate a cake just because and then we wouldn't eat it!).
Happy birthday Kellen! What a fun little boy! And those cupcakes look amazing, what a good idea... I was so glad to hear you say that you loved your labor and delivery, it's nice to hear some positive comments about it when the majority of what I've heard/read is negative! And I give you major props for doing it natural, I'm definitely not that brave :) Thanks for the advice, I will definitely be bringing my own night gown! I hate how the hospital gowns never stay closed... any other advice you want to give is definitely welcome! :)
Wow - I thought I had sent a comment when you first posted Kellen's birthday - but I can't find it on here. Happy Birthday Kellen - and I am so sorry we are late! We hope you had tons of fun - it looks like you did! We miss you and Love you! Jordi says Hi
Love the pics. I really like the magnets. I should get those for Ofa. He is always tearing the other ones off the fridge so all my paper is on the ground. Alphabet ones would be good!
we should eat those cupcakes when i visit you next week. they look scrumptious!!! bytheway, did you remember i'm coming next week? because you should really be getting excited at this point.
oh yeah, kellen is adorable. duh. and i think its good for kids to get stomach aches from eating cupcakes too fast. only good things can come from it.
Happy Birthday handsome! Those cupcakes are a great idea, unique and different. You have quite the handsome devil on your hands. I love that he is such a boy - cars, cars all day, inside and out.
SO CUTE! Our babies are all grown up...well not quite grown up...but you know what I mean! I am excited to celebrate with Dax in a few weeks! XOXO
