BBQ with Cory & Stef

This is a little swing-set at Cory & Stef's new house.

Kellen loves to play with Stef.

These are our friends Cory & Stef. We met them a year ago, right after we moved up here. They are great friends and we love them. Kellen thinks the world of them both and sequels with excitement when we get to see them. Sorry to all you Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, it looks like Cory & Stef are Kellen's favorite.

Kellen drives the Bus

This is a little bus at the mall. Kellen was having so much fun with it. I think he liked it mostly because it had a steering wheel and a phone. He loves to drive and talk on the phone. Watch out pedestrians.

Co-pilot

Preston took these photos earlier in the week, when the weather was nice; now it's miserable and rainy. Kellen was about as happy as a tornado in a trailer park (Cars).

Outrageious Gas Prices

Preston and I have been riding our bikes a lot instead of taking the car. We live in a small enough city that we can get to just about anything with out going to far. Yesterday was the first time I put gas in the car in almost 4 weeks, I had no idea it was getting so high.
So here is what I am doing, Post a comment and tell me your city and state and how much you pay in gas, and I will add it to this Blog for everyone else to see.
The price of gas has really gotten out of control, and there is not a whole lot we can do about it. But there is one thing that we can all try. Hang up the car keys, and leave the car in the garage 1day a week, 2 if you can manage without it. It's good for your pockets and great for the environment. for every gallon of gas we use, we put 19 lbs of CO2 into the atmosphere.
So if we all drive 1 less day a week, we could make a huge impact on our environment, and maybe the gas companies might feel it too.
  • Rexburg, Idaho $3.88
  • Sacramento, CA $3.90
  • Fort Worth, Texas $3.76
  • Layton, Utah $3.77

Random Photos from a Random life

Kellen is feeding himself now, and he thinks this is the best thing in the world.
It takes a lot for me not to reach over and help him or tell him not to play in his food.
Don't ask me whats going on here, because I have know idea. For some reason he just keeps pulling everything down. When he gets things the way he likes he leaves it a lone. He must get it from Preston.
We let Kellen run around the house naked after bath-time because he really likes it. I hope this photo doesn't offend anyone, we just thought it was funny.
Grocery Store... This is a plastic bat Preston handed to him, Kellen has been wanting it for months.

We have been playing outside a lot this week but for some reason every time we leave the house we always forget to bring the camera. I will try to do better. The weather is warm and Kellen is loving being outside for a change, and so are Preston and I. 8 months of cold is long enough.

Kellen outdoors

This is Kellen's new play area. I say that because this is were he wants to spend all of his time. When we wakes up in the morning he will take my hand, walk down stares and run strait to the back door. Of course it's too cold, to early (7am) and I am to tired. So I tell him we'll go outside in a little bite. The good thing is that the weather has warmed up a lot, and he no longer has to wear a sweater outside. We have been spending most of our time at the pool, the park, and on the Bike (His second favorite thing to playing in the dirt).

Our new Home

This is our new place. All of these photos were taken from the entry-way. It's a very long floor-plan. I would right more but Kellen has just woke up from his nap. But don't worry, I have a lot of pictures of Kellen yet to come. He is just getting so big.

We have Internet finally

I have felt so lost without the Internet, and my blog. Is that crazy? Well anyway, we are finally all settled into our new place. We are excited to be living here, and Kellen likes this place much more then our apartment. It's not much bigger, but it allows him to explore more on his own, without me chasing after him and telling him what to do. The above photos are Kellen and I heading out the door to go swimming (in door pool). That is the entry of out new place and our new set of stares. The next Blog will have some more photos of our new place.

Moving Fiasco
I know that I say this now, but I never want to move ever again! This has been the worst move thus far and here's why. When the ward came to help us move we were only partly ready. Only about half the house was packed up, but we had some great strong men that didn't care that much. While Preston was taking the first truck load over to the new place I broke Kellen's crib. Let me just say it again in case you read it to fast. I BROKE KELLEN'S CRIB! It was pretty old, and it kind of just fell apart when I was disassembling it. (It won't fit through the door all put together) And now is where you need to read very carefully. We tried to put Kellen's crib back together just for the night, so that he wouldn't be as stressed about a new place. Very big mistake. while Preston and I were doing that, Kellen fell down the stares (about 9pm). Keep in mind though that Kellen knows how to go up and down them very well, I think his foot just got caught in the carpet and caused him to fall. So.... Preston rushed out of the room, flew down the stares to a limp, not moving baby, contorted at the bottom of the stares. As soon as Preston picked Kellen up he stared to scream. Kellen had a bloody lip and a very pail face. I held him in my arms while Preston gave him a blessing. Kellen was not looking good at all,we debated about taking him to the ER. After an hour or so I gave him some crackers to help keep him awake (he was up past 11pm). I am pretty sure Kellen had a mild concussion, but was doing just fine by morning. It was very scary, but it reminds me how blessed I am to have the Priesthood in my home.

Kellen's new Toy

Preston bought me this great bike today, along with all the stuff so that Kellen could ride with me. You can see me holding Kellen's helmet, so don't worry he is well protected. We  all went for a ride after my bike was ready to go. Kellen had a great time. So much fun, that when we got home he throw one of his routine tantrums. Money well spent.

Tagged

I really hate Tags! I like to read them but I don't like to write them. I have been tagged so many times it's ridicules. So out of love for the person who tagged me, who we will refer to as V. Harrington... no that's to obvious, will call her Vanessa H. This is for you.
1.How did you meet your spouse? My boyfriend introduced us. A year and a half later we had our first date.
2. Who eats more sweets? Definitly me.
3. Who said I love you first? Probably me, but I can't remember.
4. How old is he? Turning 28 this June
5.Who is taller? Preston,
6. Who is smarter? Preston is, hands down! But I'm a pretty, smart, cookie.
7. Who can sing better? Preston, He comes from a whole family of singers,
8. Who does the laundry? I do it like 90% of the time, but of that 90% Preston will do it like 80% of the time.
9. Who pays the bills? I do, I don't let Preston near the bills. I have control issues . . .
10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me
11. Who mows the lawn? We don't have one.
12. Who cooks dinner? I cook most of the time. When it's Preston's turn, we usually go out.
13. Who drives? Well, that completely depends on what you mean.  When Preston is alone, he drives.  When I'm alone, I drive.  When we're together, Kellen picks.  Specifics Bob.
