My new Church Bag.

This is my new Church bag. I have made this bag twice before, for friends, but never for myself. So I am really excited to have one for myself now. The Pattern that I used was Simplicity 2658. The pockets are not part of the pattern, I just put them on because I new I would need them. This bag holds all of Kellen's toys and food for Church. I wanted it to be girly because I am the one that carries it around for the next two hours. And let's be honest Kellen's doesn't really care what kind of bag his toys come in, he just cares that he has them.

My first Flower

I love making these flowers! they are so easy, and fun to make. I made this one for my new church bag. Well, I guess it's Kellen's new church bag, but I carry it around for the next 2 hours after sacrament, so I figured it was ok to make it girly.

The Jane Pattern

This is the Baby Jane pattern. It's not exactly like the one i use, but the end product will be about the same. Or you can try simplicity pattern 2491. I got my pattern from this book. Have fun.

Kimono Shoe Pattern

I was looking for ideas online last night for another project, when I came across this web page. It gives you the pattern for the Kimono style shoes. I printed mine off this morning and really looking forward to trying it out. But I thought some of you guys would like to try it out as well. She is giving away lots of other patterns also. In order to get the kimono patter you will have to add it to you basket and everything, and do a complete check out, long in, but don't worry they don't ask for your credit card, you just get to the end and you click download. Let me know how it works out for you guys.

My new found Joy!

I bought a book awhile back that had some really great patterns. Here are just a couple. The first two found a wonderful home with my friend Stephanie.


These other pairs I am still holding on to, trying to find them a good home. I am learning a lot about sewing, and feel pretty confident with most patterns, But I have learned one thing about myself, I'm getting really crafty, but NOT at all creative. So that is my next goal. I need to think out side the box a little bit more. As you can see from all the shoes photoed above, they are well put together, but they lack that personal flair.

Potty Time

I love it! he grabbed the magazine all on his own and started to flip through it. Some day he will hate me for taking this picture, but right now all i can do is laugh.
