My pre Madona

I know this is wrong on so many different levels, and Preston is going to hate that I posted them, but oh man look at those legs.
I know all kids do this, with any pair of shoes they can get there hands on, but I just start laughing so hard every time I look at these photos, that I just had to share my joy, and hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do.
I have been trying to get a photo for the longest time of Kellen with our shoes on, this just happen to be the one time I was quick enough. Oh man Kellen is going to hate me one day for taking these photos.

Me Time

Preston is such a sweet heart! Kellen has been rough today, and really wearing me down. When Preston came home from school he could see how frustrated  I was, and offered to take Kellen to Idaho Falls with him. It's nice to have time to myself, but as soon as they leave, I get so lonely, and want to be with them, instead of have some well deserved me time. To a lot of you, that may sound totally lame, but I am just so attached to my Husband, and darling little boy, that I am just lost with out them. I am so in love with my tiny Family. So now I have no Idea what to do with all my spare time. I'm probably going to get off the Internet and go get a work out in, although... I'm kind of lagging and don't really want to.

My Nike+ Shoes

I have to say, that I LOVE my new Nike+ running shoes! They are by far the best shoes I have ever had... ever! If any one is looking for a new pair of shoes go with the Nike Air Pegasus+ 25
The Nike+ system is a little complicated when you first start out, but after you figure everything out, it is so easy. I love being able to track my progress. Right now my time for the mile is 12.50, I know that it's not great, but I'm not a fast runner, but I will be able to track myself as I improve. I am able to customize my workouts my Time, Distance, Calories, or Basic. So If I want to burn 200 Calories, my I pod will prompt me as I get closer to my goal, and then It will tell me that I have completed my work out, when i reached 200 Cals. burned.
I am really enjoying the Nike+ and I love my new shoes.

Just about the Family

I thought it would be nice to give you guys a little family update. Nothing to terribly new just a few things. Preston started back to school a few weeks ago, he loves learner and is excited for some of his classes. He is taking 13 credits, which may not seem like a tone, but it is enough when you have work, family, and callings. He keeps plenty busy, but does a fantastic job of make time for his family and for me.

I have definitely gotten a lot busier since the New Year rolled around, But still not as busy as some. Just busy with "mom stuff". Kellen is such a sweet-heart, and I just love playing with him all day. I also have a calling in the Church as Enrichment Leader. It's really new for me, but I'm trying to get a hang of it.

Kellen is the same as always, hyper and outgoing. We had him tested late last month, to see if he qualified for Speech Therapy. We were very excited when they told us he qualified for Speech and Behavioral Therapy (he's not a bad kid, he just doesn't pick up on social ques because of his speech delay). We are hopping they can start with him in February, there is kind of a long wait list, but Kellen seems to be one of there high priorities. They will come once a week for Speech Therapy and twice a month for Behavioral Therapy. I am learning though, that most of the Speech Therapy will come from me. They kind of teach me what do to. Things like don't respond right a way, or respond appropriately to grunts and points. Instead pretend like you don't know what he's talking about for 15-20 seconds, and then be like "Oh you want the Clone Trooper, ok." The idea is to help him see that his form of communication is not adequate enough to get him everything, and so he will want to expand his form of communication, hence, start talking. I have noticed that since I have started with my secret technic that he is signing spontaneously now, Granted it is all most never the right sign, but he is learning. When I ask what it is he is wanting he will automatically sign, were as before I would show him the sign then he would mimic it, and then he would get what ever it was. His lattes sign that he has learned is "help," He is darling when he signs it. I will ask him if he needs help and he turn around and sign help to me. 2 years old is when toddlers go though a "language explosion," I can see it starting to happen for Kellen, just not on the same scale as other kids.

Well that is about it, we are doing well and trying to stay warm here in our Snow Globe.

Road ID

Another pretty swell idea would be the Road ID. Preston and I both have one and wear them during the summer. I use mine mostly if I'm on my bike with Kellen, (just in case some crazy High School Jock tries to show off for his almost girlfriend and hit me with his car) That way if anything happens to me they know how to get ahold of Preston. I alway feel more comfortable knowing Preston has his on when he leaves the house for a run. You can get them for your wrist, ankle, shoe, or "dog tag" and they come in six different colors.
Just thought you would like to know, thats all.

Nike+

I am not much of a runner but I LOVE logging things, don't ask me why I just do. For Christmas Preston got a pair of Nike+ running shoes and censor wrist band. Not sure what that is, well I'll tell you. The Nike+ running shoes have a special built in compartment for this nifty little device shown bellow. It is a censor that tracks how far, and how fast you did your run/walk. The other little device is the receiver that logs all the data. It plugs into your ipod.
Nike+ Plus <span class=
After your workout you plug the receiver into your computer and go to the nike web page, all that data is then displayed in an oh so organized fashion. It is awesome! The Nike+ system works with Ipod, ITouch, & the Nano. You can keep track of all your workouts, and track your progress, use the Nike+ Coach to train for 5k,10k... you get the point.
Well, I just ordered my first pair of Nike+ Shoes and I am really looking forward to trying them out. I really think this will help me get a workout in every few days, because like I said I LOVE to log things, and see progress. It wasn't that big of investment for me because I already have an ITouch (a surprise gift I got from Preston)

Here is a fun commercial for the Nike+ System, It will give you a little bit of a better idea then I can. This is a must have for all those that like to walk, jog, or run... or like to log things. Enjoy

Jogging Stroller

So my birth day is coming up and I want a jogging stroller, I want a good one, but don't know anything about them. If you have one and love it, or know of a good one let me know. I just want one that handles well, and I haven't decided wether I want a single or a double. So you tell me.

Just another day

Well I guess its time to make a new post, although I don't have anything to say really, and I don't have any photos. Christmas was a lot of fun, we spent it in Sacramento with Preston's Family. It was nice to get away from the snow and enjoy the rain... wait a minute, that doesn't sound right. Unfortunately we forgot to bring the camera charger so I don't have more then a few photos and none of them are very good. Coming home was a bit of a shocker. We arrived at 1 am and had to shovel our way through the snow to get to the door, it was a little crazy. Your thought processes at 1 in the morning is, "lets just get home, and we'll take care of unpacking the car in the morning." Well... when I opened the door from the garage to the back yard, that leads to the back door, I was greeted with 3 feet of snow, maybe even 3 1/2. All I could do was laugh. "Are you kidding me." Preston came through the front of the house and came to the back door to help Kellen and I, and saw me standing there Laughing, "I can't get through, It's to deep!" So in the end Preston shoveled it for me, and we eventually made it into the house. Come to find out latter, that our neighbors were tempted to jump the fence and shovel it for us, but they thought that might be a little intrusive. The snow eventually stopped coming, but not for long. Why does Rexburg get so much snow? Any way.
New Years was like any other day for us, sad I know. but we did make it till midnight, thanks to Kellen, and a little Seinfield. Kellen has been having trouble sleeping so we were up with him till 10pm trying to get him to go to sleep. We were going to go to bed right then, but Preston turned on the Lap Top and got distracted with Jerry Seinfield stand up, Thus keeping us up laughing in the new year. I think I am getting old and boring, Dang!
2008 was a good year, nothing really spectacular happened, and nothing really tragic, well... Kellen did get his first set of stitches, and we did move AGAIN, and then Kellen fell down the stairs our first night, oh and I competed in a Triathlon for the first time, so I guess there are a few not worthy events, but other then that nothing comes to mind. We got to spend the year with each other and watch Kellen grow. The year did have a few speed bumps, but that is just life, am I right. In the end I feel more blessed then ever.
I am excited for 2009 and a little curious to see what the Lord has in store for my family. I know it will be a busy year, I can tell you that much. Preston starts school on Wednesday, and will go non stop through the year, into December. It will be good though, because then he will be done with his undergrad work, and we can move on. Move on to what? you ask. To more schooling of course... Yeah!  I hope the Lord will bless you this coming year as much as he blessed us in 2008.

Fancy Pants

I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I love "Fancy Pants" (verbiage coined with Katy B. late one night at my house.) I hear by place this term under patten, and if you use it, you must state the source in which you found it.
I'm not so sure about the orange, but fancy pants are like the most comfortable thing in the world to me. They are perfect to wear to bed and super stylish under a skirt or dress. For more totally awesome Fancy Pants check me out.

I'm totally diggin' on this pair

Kellen is a Stud

This video is so funny to me, it really shows how much fun Kellen was having out in the snow. This is our back yard, still windy but not as windy as the front. This kid is so entertaining. We are going to be having snow fall for a few more days, if it warms up a little Kellen will get the chance to go play in it again. All I'm asking for is above freezing (current temp -4)
